The fifth graders continue to make steady progress with their opinion pieces. I was able to conference with five more writers today as many others continued to type their second draft of their pieces. The students are doing a nice job of peer editing pieces before they meet with me. This work will continue on Friday.
The fifth graders also received paperwork concerning the fifth grade trip to science camp in early December. There are a number of forms that need to be signed and returned to school as well as information for parents at home. In addition, the fifth grade team is on the look out for chaperones to stay over different days down at the Alton Jones camp. Blog post - In a three paragraph essay (each should be at least six sentences), students will write about who their favorite character from Wonder was. Students should use evidence from the text to explain why they have selected the character that they did and go into detail as to what makes this character their favorite. Due on Friday October 27th
