6/1/16

The start of the month of June saw the fifth graders working in small group to create working definitions of what a quadrilateral is. The students then compared and contrasted cards that featured different shapes on them. The second part of math class was dedicated to looking at a multi-step word problem that will be continued over the next few days.

Many students are also putting the finishing touches on their Biography Poems. The students are giving a snapshot into their lives and are being very creative in their finished products.

As a reminder, field day is this Friday. The fifth grade will be representing the United States of America, so dress accordingly. Also, the fifth graders will be visiting the Ottoson Middle School on Friday to take a tour of the building.
