It was a big day in math class. The fifth graders have officially crossed over into unit 3. This unit will see the students working with fractions. Today served as a nice jumping off point and the kids worked well with the introductory lesson.
We also spent time writing about what we are reading during our ELA time in the second half of the day. The students continue to respond to prompts concerning the novel, Home of the Brave.

Reading - 30 minutes of quiet reading per night, reader's logs due 11/8
Math - volume worksheet due Friday 11/8
