10/16/17

The fifth graders kicked off their next unit in social studies today. Over the  next few weeks, the students will be investigating the first people to make their way into North America. This will transition into a close exploration of the Native American tribes that resided in various sections of America.

Later in the school day, members of the Arlington Fire Department visited the school to share fire prevention tips with the fifth grade classes.

The fifth graders also received paperwork concerning the fifth grade trip to science camp in early December. There are a number of forms that need to be signed and returned to school as well as information for parents at home. In addition, the fifth grade team is on the look out for chaperones to stay over different days down at the Alton Jones camp.
