10/18/17

The students in M102 took their mid-unit math assessment today. The work throughout these first few weeks of school has been exciting to see. The students all seemed to be in a confident place heading into today. I thought that the students worked hard and did a nice job of checking over their work when concluded.

The fifth graders also spent time working on their opinion pieces today. A few students are close to finishing their first drafts and I look forward to conferencing with writers shortly.

The fifth graders also received paperwork concerning the fifth grade trip to science camp in early December. There are a number of forms that need to be signed and returned to school as well as information for parents at home. In addition, the fifth grade team is on the look out for chaperones to stay over different days down at the Alton Jones camp.
