3/19/15

Today, students used their peer editing skills to critique a fellow classmate's recent open response answer. We have been preparing for next weeks ELA MCAS and this lesson was a nice opportunity for students to look at other's work. The fifth graders were on the lookout for strong lead sentences, transition words and good use of evidence from the text. The class then shared out and chose a strength and something that needs to be worked out for next time. I believe students are entering next weeks testing period in a good mindset.
