It was nice to have my students back from vacation. Room 312 continued their work with fractions. Students were presented with a challenging problem of the week that will continue into tomorrow. Te class also began working on multiplying mixed numbers using algorithms.
During our ELA block today, the class returned to Number the Stars. Students read chapter six and continued to fill out entries in their 3-step journals.
One additional item for parents and guardians, on Wednesday March 11th there will be a transitioning to OMS Math presentation at the middle school. This will take place from 7 - 8:30 at the Ottoson and will be run by Mathematics Director Matt Coleman.

Reading - 30 minutes of quiet reading and fill out reader's log on nightly basis
Blog topic: In chapter 6, characters are speaking in secret code. Give some examples of this and explain what the characters actually mean.
