2/24/15

Students turned their attention to the southern colonies today during social studies. We have been focusing in on key people, early forms of government and the positives of the land. Students are gearing up for their group project on the colonies.

We also continued our work with opinion writing. I have some students who have completed their chocolate milk paper, while others are still hard at work. Students are going to be selecting a topic that is important to them later this week. This topic will serve as the thesis for their next paper.

Grade 5 was also lucky, as at the end of the day they were treated to a presentation by the Museum of Science. Students were attentive and respectful during the lesson.
